MERITS & AWARDS
A merit system is in place at the B. B. Coke High School to highlight outstanding performance of students in academics, sports and general conduct.

Merit for good conduct are as follows:
Demonstrating Leadership to peers = 3 merits

Volunteered Community Service = 2 merits

Promptness – no tardiness to any class = 2 merits

Perfect attendance = 2 merits

Appropriately handling conflict and/or Confrontation = 2 merits

Consistent Recognized Class Participation = 2 merits
OVERALL PERFORMANCE AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL
Teachers are required to enter in the merit book (which is placed in the staff room) the commendable Performance and Exemplary Conduct of deserving students. These students will be recognized at General Devotions and other Public School Functions.
Subject teachers are responsible for entering merit in the MERIT BOOK after each major examination (End of term, End of year).
Form teacher are responsible, twice yearly (End of term, End of year) for entering students MERITS on the Student Management System. Merit totals will be provided by the Merit Coordinator through the Academic Committee.
